Wedding Day

In the middle of one of the darkest chapters of my life when my body was changing, my hair was gone, my breast removed, and my spirit tested you looked at me and saw nothing but love. You didn’t turn away from the pain, the fear, or the weight of my diagnosis. You leaned in. You held me closer. And in the midst of my storm, you chose me. When you asked me to marry you, it wasn’t just about a ring on it. It was about standing beside me when the world didn’t make sense. You made one of the hardest moments in my life one of the most beautiful by reminding me that cancer could never take away love. That no illness, no loss of hair, or scars on my body could change how you saw me or how much you loved me. You made a vow to fight with me. Not just to be present in the easy moments, but to stand firm in the trenches when everything felt uncertain. And you’ve kept that promise every day since. Your strength has been my safety. Your love has been my light. Your presence has brought sunshine and made even the heaviest days feel bearable. You remind me what real love looks like unshakable, unconditional, and rooted in something far deeper than appearances or ease. Thank you for seeing me. For choosing me. For walking through every valley and standing with me on every peak. I may have lost parts of myself to this journey, but I gained a partner who never flinched. You are my blessing in human form. And no matter what lies ahead, I know I’m not facing it alone.
